Welcome to Women of Faith & Amazing Freedom

What does that mean and how do we get it?

Freedom is a promise and whether this was the first conference that women from St. James’ attended or the tenth conference – the message touched each person in a special way. 10,000 women from upstate New York attended the conference in Rochester and approximately 30 women from St. James’ were there. In the last five years, over 100 women from St. James’ have been at the conferences. Attendees have shared in the opportunity to:

• renew their spirit with messages of hope and humor
• recharge their spiritual batteries with drama that touches the heart and tickles the funny bone
• rejoice with music from top Christian music artists
• and . . .reconnect with God and each other

You do not have to know another soul in the arena to feel comfortable, but many were there with friends, as we were with our St. James’ family. You may have a relationship with God that is rich and meaningful or you may be taking your first step toward learning about Him. You may come with a lot of questions or have already found many answers. It doesn’t matter, God knows you and He sees you right where you are. He loves you and that is freedom and it is an amazing experience.

Whether you were at the conference or not, there are books written by the presenters that anyone may sign out. They will be on the cabinet shelf in the lobby near the parish hall. If the book looks interesting, sign it out and enjoy the message.

We want to thank Beth Cichostepski for all the time and effort she put into purchasing tickets and making arrangements for all of us. In the fall we will have a DVD of the conference, and we will be planning times to share the experience with all the Women of St. James’!
