Worship at St. James'
We want people to find a home here and a worship experience that is meaningful, an experience of prayer and praise that lifts them into the presence of God and invites God into their lives. And so we offer choices.

On Sundays:
7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Rite I - A quiet and meditative format in which the traditional language of our Episcopal Church is used. Communion takes place at the High Altar.
8:45 - 9:45 a.m. - Rite II Choral Service - Our choir leads the service with music. For many, this service is reminiscent of our great Episcopal tradition.
9:30 - 10:30 a.m. - Education/Fellowship Time - Children attend Sunday school, youth meet, and adults have a time to participate in fellowship activities.
10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - “Come as You Are” - Contemporary and innovative forms of worship. Communion is celebrated at the low altar and the service is informal, engaging, and at times interactive. Children of all ages are encouraged to attend the entire service, and childcare is available as well.
We encourage those with musical and/or vocal talents to contact Brian Ackles, our music director, as we always welcome new singers and musicians to raise a joyful noise to the Lord.
On Wednesdays:
6 p.m. - Healing Service with Holy Eucharist, in the main sanctuary - Year Round
6 p.m. - Prayer & Praise service, in the Parish Hal - except for June, July, August
Easy to Follow
Everything you need to follow the service is in the service bulletin. We are committed to making worship open to all people, including those who have no church background.
Summer Schedule
Sunday services are at 8:00a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We move some of our 10:00 a.m. services outdoors, celebrating Holy Communion on the shores of the lake in the park. We encourage people to come with lawn chairs, beach blankets, friends and four-legged friends. Boaters are also welcome to join with us along the seawall. Please look at our calendar for the dates of these services in which we enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.
